Project, Experience & Stories from our Makers

Smart & Petch – Kitchen automation for the Future

Smart and Petch are developing a Cooking Automation Machine to solve labor shortages in kitchens, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. With access to tools like 3D printers, Laser cutter and electronics at FABLab, they were able to design and build their MVP faster—with hands-on support from the FABLab team.

Moss – From Etsy Files to Mandalorian Art

A fan of pop culture, Moss began creating a Mandalorian helmet using 3D model files purchased online. FABLab became his workshop to print, paint, and finish the costume piece using various techniques—resulting in a beautiful, realistic, and creatively crafted work.

Jordan – Functional and Stylish Everyday Items

Jordan designs custom accessories for home and office use, such as phone cases and desk decorations. With access to 3D resin printing at FABLab, he transforms simple ideas into practical, stylish objects through prototyping and refinement.

Jakub Pánek – The Future of Holographic Displays

Founder of Revolumix, Jakub is developing volumetric display technology—3D holograms that float in space without needing glasses. FABLab provides the deep prototyping space for him to design, experiment with light systems, and assemble components using 3D printers, electronics and FABLab facilities.

Fabrice Payet – From Wooden Prototypes to Tangible Ideas

Fabrice has been developing prototypes of wooden objects using the Trotec Laser Cutter at FABLab Bangkok, aiming for high precision before moving into actual production. He sees the FABLab as a valuable space for learning, experimenting, and enhancing his skills in modern fabrication technologies.

His success is driven by both the advanced tools available and the supportive FABLab team, who are always ready to offer guidance and help solve problems. This combination has allowed Fabrice to make steady progress in his project and gain hands-on experience through practical learning.
