Maker Stories: Welcoming Laivijit to FabLab Bangkok

We’re thrilled to introduce a new partner of our FabLab community, ” Laivijit! ” Specializing in sustainable furniture and interior design, Laivijit transforms wood into valuable products, from home accessories to functional furniture. Their innovative approach not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also emphasizes environmental responsibility. You can explore and purchase their creations both online and through traditional outlets.

Our collaboration with Laivijit began through the DIPROM Creative Next Program, a product design incubation initiative aimed at supporting SMEs and competing for the esteemed DEmark award. Through this program, Laivijit engaged in FabLab workshops, learning to utilize 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC milling machines to create and test prototypes of their products.

Together, FabLab Bangkok and Laivijit are working on furniture projects tailored for makers. One of our notable collaborations is the development of a minimalist, functional shelf designed for easy access to hand tools and efficient inventory management.

This innovative maker shelf is set to be a significant addition to Laivijit’s product line and will be showcased at FabLab Bangkok.

In their commitment to continuous improvement, Laivijit has sent their team to FabLab to master digital fabrication processes. This training ensures they stay at the cutting edge of creating unique, high-quality furniture for both home use and workshops. With FabLab’s guidance, Laivijit is developing and refining their prototypes, pushing the boundaries of sustainable design.

Welcome, Laivijit, to the FabLab family! We look forward to many more innovative projects and successful collaborations together.
